Welcome to our Midwestern Oasis!The Ancient Greeks believed that the Goddess Iris used rainbows to travel from the heavens to the earth. She would glide down the the colorful slide to deliver the messages from the Gods to the humans below. Looking at a rainbow, it is easy to see how it came to be seen as a mode for divine communication. When one appears, we stop what we are doing and stare in amazement. Something magical has penetrated our everyday world and blessed us with its beauty. From the land of Iowa, the oasis of Des Moines, we are the Rainbows of the Desert. We hope to communicate our love for Middle Eastern Dance in a colorful and fun way. We share our passion with you and each other in the form of this website.
